When the going gets tough, the Honda CRF450RX, fine-tuned for cross country racing mastery, goes the distance. The compact engine delivers plenty of power, while the lightweight chassis and special suspension settings give you great handling. The latest tech, including Honda Selectable Torque Control, ensure traction is maximised in different conditions. Add to all of it Honda’s legendary reliability and you can keep on going wherever and whenever you like.
The Unicam® cylinder head design remains one of the most efficient in the off-road world, giving you the design and performance of a double-overhead-cam layout but the compactness of a single-overhead-cam one. The result is a compact engine that saves weight, while the narrow valve angle allows a high compression ratio. Another great benefit of the reduced size is that is sits lower, improving the centre of gravity.
The CRF450RX tyres, 90/90-21 at the front and 120/90-18 at the rear, are specifically designed for enduro use, so you can ride the way you want, where you want.
Narrow bodywork makes it a lot easier to move around on your bike, maximising your riding freedom and reducing fatigue.
Large plastic 8L fuel tank, ideal for cross country rides, lets you keep riding for longer.
The Engine Mode Select Button (EMSB) alters the engine’s characteristics. Three maps are available to suit riding conditions or rider preference: Mode 1 (Standard), Mode 2 (Smooth) and Mode 3 (Aggressive). The LED also displays the selected mode.
The 49mm Showa® fork features a conventional spring design that increases precision, handling and feel, while the rear has a Pro-link set up. Both fully adjustable and specifically tuned for cross country riding.
The CRF450RX’s chassis was designed to be narrow, lightweight, and more responsive thanks to reduced lateral rigidity. The swingarm’s lateral rigidity is matched to the rest of the chassis, for a balanced, fully integrated approach to frame stiffness, letting you get around corners faster and with better feel.
